The information about memberships, benefits, consortium duties funded by membership, and specific contributions to the consortium is now available at the .LRN Consortium Membership page.
There are different levels of membership depending the organization type, use of .LRN and resources it has. The membership helps to support .LRN growth, many new features are coming and the consortium is leading the innovation.
.LRN is Open Source and free to use, members of the .LRN Consortium
have found the Consortium an excellent place to invest in the
improvements for the platform. The .LRN Leadership Group and the .LRN
Board of Directors serve as committed volunteers without economic
retribution from the .LRN Consortium.

LAMS2 and .LRN integration (beta) released! [wiki.lamsfoundation.org]
The integration allows .LRN teachers to seamlessly add LAMS lessons to their .LRN courses. These lessons are sequences of Learning Activities that teachers design using the LAMS drag-and-drop authoring environment.
LAMS2 is quite different from its version 1 release, which it was also integrated with .LRN. For more info, hit the LAMS wiki docs.
I have set up a LAMS2 - .LRN 2.3.1 demo server for those of you who might want to give it a spin.
Also, here is a two minute animation on how it all works.
More info, source and tech docs, available in the LAMS2 .LRN wiki page.

Usage of .LRN in aDeNu Research Projects [openacs.org]
aDeNu work has been disseminated at the IV INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MULTIMEDIA AND INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES IN EDUCATION (mICTE-06).
Current works relate to FAA and EU4ALL Projects.
As you can see in the corresponding paper and poster, FAA (Open and Accessible Training) is based on .LRN to support accessible standard-based (IMS, SCORM) collaborative and adaptive courses along the full life cycle of eLearning.
In turn, EU4ALL (European Unified Approach for Accessible Lifelong Learning) aims to build an open and accessible service architecture for all to cope with the accessibility requirements in higher education institutions in Europe. OpenACS toolkit (using the web services support developed by Wien) is going to be used.
